Renuka: The Journey Unexpected

Story of a civilization which flourished more than ten thousand years ago. A narrative reminiscing on the ancient history of a land surrounded by water on three sides.

This is the story of Renuka. A princess born in the mighty Ikshvaku dynasty; which could trace its origins to the dawn of mankind. Rejecting several princes and warriors, she chose to wed a Saptarishi; one of the wisest of men of those times.

Story of Jamadagni. An ascetic of unmatched wisdom and knowledge; his actions led him to be misunderstood and misquoted through the centuries to come.

Story of a son, Rambhadra. His devotion and love for his parents provoked him to annihilate clan upon clan of warriors; several times.

This is the tale of a journey; a journey to unknown times and unsolved mysteries. A work of fiction based on legends, this book is also a medium to set sail within, to our own soul.

Mandodari: The Untold Story

A city of gold
Where dwelt abundant peace and contentment in houses studded with gems. An empire so vast that the equator bisected it.

A war that almost wiped out not one but two races
Ancient dynasty that spiralled into a dark abyss of self-destruction; plagued with ego, anger and pride. A leader who was an esteemed scholar and fearless warrior but failed to conquer his inner demons.

A sagacious Queen
Tales of her beauty and wisdom spread through the world. A virtuous wife who stood by her husband, when even his kin seemed to desert him. A mother who could only spectate helplessly; the downfall of her kingdom and the blood of her slain sons.
She was the Queen of Sinhala- present day Sri Lanka.
This is the story of Mandodari, the forgotten wife of Ravan.

#Mahabharat
It touches us differently at different stages in life.
I saw the miracles as a child, heroism when young, and the sacrifices when older.
Our history and pride!
